Workhop with Tanita of Jamu Kitchen: Homemade Remedies using Kitchen Pantry Staples

£10.00

We're so excited to be hosting Tanita of Jamu Kitchen, here in the studio, to learn how to create simple homemade remedies using everyday kitchen pantry staples.

In this hands-on workshop, Tanita will teach us how to beat the symptoms of the common cold and flu, along with how to treat bloating and help hangovers with these humble ingredients so often found on our kitchen shelves.

We’ll discuss how to plunder your spice rack, and the benefits of honey,  then go on to make fermented honey, and learn how to spike our honey with spices like cayenne, ginger, pepper and thyme to make a cough syrup. We'll also discuss making drinking vinegars and their benefits, make an onion elixir with onion and honey, make garlic tea to fight infections, and create a master tonic using all of the ingredients above to boost immunity.

Tanita will guide us through the benefits of these staples, how to get the best out of each ingredient, and then discuss examples of all the different tonics we can make, and how to do so.

The price includes your very own tonic to take home with you. Tickets can be booked below, or here and here.
